Pottery masterclasses
One-off sessions with visiting makers, focused on a single technique. A chance to spend a day or two learning from ceramicists whose work you'd otherwise only see in a gallery.
Each masterclass is different — some assume you can already throw, others are open to anyone. Every one is marked with a level so you know what it expects.
How masterclasses work
Masterclasses aren't a step up from our courses — they sit alongside them. Some are beginner friendly, some assume real experience. What they have in common is a focus: one technique, one maker, one or two days.
They run a few times a year rather than on a regular schedule, and places are limited. Once a date's gone, it's gone.
Level badges: each masterclass is marked individually — check the level before booking.
What's included
A full day or two days with the visiting maker, usually 10am to 4pm with a break for lunch.
Real live tuition — demonstrations, hands-on work, and time to talk about what you're making.
All materials.
Firing varies per masterclass — some include bisque firing, some include both firings, some charge per piece. Check the individual listing.
