Terms and Conditions
Classes at Fishponds Pottery are kept small so everyone gets proper hands-on teaching. That means cancellations and changes have a real impact on the studio, so please have a read through before you book.
Booking and payment
Payment is taken in full at the time of booking. Your place is confirmed once payment has gone through.
If you'd rather spread the cost, Klarna is available at checkout. Klarna lets you pay in instalments — but that agreement is between you and Klarna, not with us. Any remaining instalments stay payable whether or not you're able to attend.
Cancellations and refunds
30 days or more before the start date — you'll get a full refund.
Within 30 days of the start date — bookings are non-refundable. You're very welcome to pass your place on to a friend or family member instead, at no extra cost.
Rescheduling
Up to 14 days before the start date — you can move your booking to another date, subject to availability.
Within 14 days of the start date — we can't reschedule, as it's unlikely we'd be able to fill the space at short notice.
If you can't make it
If you don't attend for any reason, including illness, the booking is non-refundable and can't be rescheduled. You're welcome to send someone else in your place.
Passing your place to someone else
If you can't come, you can transfer your booking to another person at no extra cost. Just email us their name before the session so we know who to expect.
If we have to cancel
Occasionally we may need to cancel or move a class. This might happen if:
Minimum numbers aren't reached
A tutor becomes ill or unavailable
Something outside our control gets in the way
If that happens, you'll be offered a place on an alternative date or a full refund, whichever you'd prefer. We're not able to reimburse travel, accommodation or other personal costs.
Masterclasses with visiting makers occasionally have to be cancelled or rearranged at the maker's end. The same applies — you'll be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
Age
Classes are designed for adults. The minimum age is 16, and anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult. If you're booking for a younger group, get in touch about a private session instead.
Photos in the studio
We sometimes take photos in the studio to share on social media and use on the website. If you'd rather not appear in them, just tell your tutor at the start of the session and we'll make sure you're not in shot.
Your belongings
Clay, glaze and slip don't come out of clothes, so please wear something you don't mind ruining. We can't take responsibility for damage to clothing or personal belongings.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers can be used against any class, course or masterclass at the studio. Vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase and can't be exchanged for cash.
