Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

At Fishponds Pottery, our workshops, courses, and masterclasses are kept intentionally small to ensure high-quality, hands-on teaching. Because of this, cancellations and changes have a big impact on our studio. Please read the policy below before booking.

Customer Cancellations

Refunds

  • 30 days or more before the start date:
    You will receive a full refund.

  • Within 30 days of the start date:
    Bookings are non-refundable. You are welcome to transfer your space to a friend or family member at no extra cost.

Rescheduling

  • Up to 14 days before the start date:
    You may reschedule your booking, subject to availability.

  • Within 14 days of the start date:
    We are unable to reschedule, as it is unlikely we can fill the space at short notice.

Non-Attendance

If you do not attend your workshop or course for any reason, your booking is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

Studio Cancellations (Including Low Enrolment)

Fishponds Pottery reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop, course, or guest teacher masterclass if:

  • Minimum enrolment is not reached

  • A tutor becomes ill or unavailable

  • There are circumstances beyond our control

If this happens, you will be offered:

  1. A place on an alternative date, or

  2. A full refund

Please note: we cannot reimburse travel, accommodation, or other personal expenses.

Guest Teacher & Masterclass Cancellations

If a Guest Teacher Cancels

Guest teachers must provide 30 days’ notice if they need to cancel.
If cancellation occurs within 30 days, Fishponds Pottery may withhold part or all of the agreed fee if costs have already been incurred (such as marketing, materials, or admin time).

We will contact all participants and arrange either a rescheduled date or full refunds.

If the Event Has Low Enrolment

If minimum numbers are not met by an agreed date (usually 14–21 days before), Fishponds Pottery may cancel the session.
No fee will be due to the guest teacher in this situation.

If Fishponds Pottery Cancels for Any Other Reason

We will notify the guest teacher as soon as possible.
Any reasonable pre-approved expenses will be reimbursed.

Ticket Transfers

If you cannot attend, you may transfer your booking to someone else at no extra cost.
Just email us their name before the workshop.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I’m ill on the day?
Workshops are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled within 14 days, even in the case of illness. You are welcome to send someone else in your place.

Can I move my booking to another date?
Yes — as long as you contact us 14 days or more before your workshop, and there is space on your preferred date.

Do you offer refunds?
Yes — for cancellations made 30 days or more before the start date.

Can I transfer my place to a friend?
Absolutely. Just email us with their name before the session.

What if Fishponds Pottery cancels?
You can choose a new date or receive a full refund.

What if a masterclass does not sell enough tickets?
We may cancel low-enrolment sessions. You will receive a refund or be moved to a new date.
